Some people search for alternative solutions, such as acupuncture, laser therapy, or hypnosis.
The fact is that hypnotherapy is a highly respected and widely recognised method to stop smoking. Hypnosis has a proven scientific track record of smoking cessation success.
For about twenty-five percent of the population, they can quit with only one hypnosis session. Part of the reason behind their success is their level of motivation and commitment. They may have tried to quit with many different methods, and now they are ready to stop and are dedicated to do whatever it takes to reach that goal.
Another fifty percent of the population is motivated to quit but may experience some struggle with completely stopping smoking. They need a little more help with adopting the necessary behaviour changes.
For people in the remaining twenty-five percent, they are not ready or motivated to quit. They are told they need to quit by family, friends, and employers. They realise they need to quit (and may even say they know smoking is terrible), but they don't do any of the work needed to change their behaviour. They're not motivated to quit.
In general, hypnosis is not a miracle cure to stop smoking. It is certainly not a panacea. You have to overcome years of smoking habits and behaviours. As mentioned in a previous post, your level of motivation, desire, and commitment to quit are the determining factors to your success. If your desire to quit is strong, you will have a better chance to quit for good.
